TTARA adds Angela Dowell to the TTARA team

Angela Dowell, who has extensive, wide-spread association experience, has joined the Texas Taxpayers and Research Association (TTARA) as its director of membership and marketing. Dowell replaces Cindy Ferguson, an award-winning industry professional, who is retiring.

“TTARA is lucky to have the talented Angela Dowell join our staff,” said TTARA President Dale Craymer. “Angela has served in a variety of roles at a number of professional associations, in addition to deep experience in event planning and membership services. At the same time, we’re sorry to lose Cindy Ferguson, who has taken TTARA’s membership to new levels. We wish her the best in her retirement.”

Dowell joins TTARA after a brief stint with the Community Care Health Center of Austin. Previously, she managed meetings and events and served as the lead staff liaison for the education program at Hospital Financial Technology Professionals, served the Texas Association of Counties as judicial project coordinator, and spent 14 years at the Texas Water Utilities Association in a variety of positions.

Dowell will soon be a proud graduate of Huston Tillotson University and is a member of the Texas Society of Association Executives.
