Franchise Tax

The franchise tax is the state’s general business tax. It applies to all forms of business receiving liability protections from the state.

TTARA supports reductions in the franchise tax rate to provide relief for all franchise taxpayers, if revenue is available in the state budget to do so. TTARA opposes statutory changes that arbitrarily narrow the number of businesses subject to the tax.
