Khrissy Griffin to be Honored with Del Threadgill Distinguished Tax Professional Award
Austin, TX – The Texas Taxpayers and Research Association (TTARA) is proud to announce that Khrissy Griffin, Vice President of Tax for Archrock in Houston, will be awarded the prestigious Del Threadgill Distinguished Tax Professional Award at the 2024 Annual Meeting on November 22. This award, presented annually since 2011, is TTARA’s highest honor, recognizing individuals who have made significant contributions to advancing fair state and local tax policy, demonstrated exceptional professionalism, and earned the respect of their peers as leaders in the field.
The award is named in honor of the late Delmer Ray Threadgill, former Chairman of TTARA and Vice President and Director of Tax Services at J.C. Penney Company.
Khrissy Griffin serves as the Chair of TTARA’s State Tax Committee and is a dedicated board member. With over 24 years of industry tax experience, including 22 years with Archrock, she has navigated the complexities of tax responsibilities across various domains, including income, franchise, sales and use, ad valorem taxes and unclaimed property. Her leadership on tax matters has been instrumental during significant corporate transitions, including a merger, spin-off, and PTP rollup.
A certified public accountant (CPA), Griffin is also an active member of the legislative and tax committees of the Texas Oil and Gas Association (TXOGA), as well as the Texas Society of CPAs and the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA). She holds both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Accounting from the University of Florida.
Jennifer Rabb, President of TTARA, expressed her admiration for Griffin, stating, “Khrissy’s insight and unwavering commitment to excellence in tax policy and her leadership within our organization exemplify the spirit of the Threadgill Award. Her contributions not only enhance the profession but also ensure that Texas remains a leader in fair and effective tax practices.”
